Tahia is a trained and experienced doula working on Lək̓ʷəŋən and W̱SÁNEĆ lands also known as Victoria, BC. She came to birth and reproductive health work in 2017 with a passion for culturally supportive and person-centered care during one of life’s most transformative journeys.

Tahia has had the privilege of supporting 50+ families through the Nesting Doula Collective and her private practice. Her approach is grounded in the belief that pregnancy, loss, abortion, birth, and postpartum are experiences that should be rooted in dignity, safety, and loving support.

As a toddler mom, Tahia has shifted her on-call birth support practice to meet the needs of her family and now offers personalized prenatal education and tailored birth and postpartum plans in preparation for labour and life with a newborn. Tahia’s training and extensive experience in the birth room have equipped her knowledge and skills to empower families to make informed and empowered choices. In addition to her doula training, Tahia is a trained childbirth educator, holds a Certificate in Perinatal Mental Health Support, has completed 100+ hours of infant/breastfeeding education and teaches prenatal yoga.

As you prepare for birth and your baby, Tahia is committed to providing evidence-based information and advocating for your autonomy and choices every step of the way.
