I am the daughter of first-generation immigrants and was born in Bangladesh. I have seen first hand how the absence of family support, navigating a new health care system, and language/cultural barriers impact the pregnancy and birthing experience. I take a holistic and trauma informed approach to providing birth support. This includes supporting emotional and physical needs as well as cultivating connections with community and accessing resources. Choice and consent matter to me and I believe they are both crucial to having a happy and healthy birth. In 2016, I fulfilled one of my long time goals of entering the field of reproductive health care by completing a DONA certified Doula Training program. I provide full spectrum doula support for all pregnancy outcomes including birth, miscarriage, and abortion.
Additional services: Prenatal yoga, trauma-informed movement and meditation, birth story, Indian head massage, nourishing post-partum meals, translation and interpretation (Bangla, Hindi, Urdu), attending health care appointments before and after birth.
